Kelli's father, Ken Ball, died in Yale, Oklahoma on January 31st, 1985. His wife and Kelli’s mother, Sharon Ball, became the prime suspect. This accusation understandably tore the family apart, but this explanation eventually fell through due to lack of evidence.
