Do you ever feel tired even after you have rested? Rest is so important because if you weren’t why would we need to commit to resting daily. Rest is when our body repairs and grows and our brains become more creative and smarter. Rest also allows us to gain more emotional control intern helping us not to operate on emotions more regularly. The trouble is most of us struggle with rest because we don’t have peace. The truth is there is a science to resting. I thought I could rest to escape my problems and the world, but I still woke up to the chaos but each time it became more difficult to deal with. We can’t expect to scroll social media or watch TV and lay down and feel well rested. Letting your mind run free is the quickest way to exhaust yourself. The truth is rest is a mental activity not just a physical one. In today’s episode I walk you through a strategy that I have used to truly be able to rest.
