Three strategies that are important when it comes to goal setting Become a gentle observer- there is a concept in the personal development space referenced as a gentle observer. This is where you observe your experiences from a place of grace. Not judging not beating yourself up but from a place of being open to learn. When you look at your past goals what has worked ? What has not? What can you learn from those experiences ? Allow yourself to learn from that experience and use that moving forward . Always keep learning - going on a diet doesn’t just include our food and drinks it’s also about what you take in and the people and places you spend your time in. It’s so important that you’re mindful of the things you put into your body- physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. If you spend all of your time watching tv, going to happy hour and laying around scrolling on your phone it’s going to be hard to move toward your vision. Now don’t get me wrong it’s great to do all of those things, but in moderation. I challenge you to find time to expand your exposure with things related to your goal. This may be listening to new podcasts, watching educational videos or reading informative blogs or hiring a coach. Massive growth takes place when you let your brain run wild and give it room to learn and grow. Be willing to take risks- if you always play safe you will never get to see what expansive opportunities are available for you. While your comfort zone feels appealing no growth or transformation takes place there. I read a quote recently that goes as “our best goals lie somewhere in between “safe” and “unattainable.” I couldn’t agree more . What risk can you take today that your future self will thank you for?
