The first step is to Challenge the thought: Once you are aware of the negative thought, challenge it by questioning its validity. Ask yourself if the thought is accurate and if there is any evidence to support it. If the thought is a negative outcome you’re fearing for the future, I want you to remember that statistically 90% of the things, we worry about don’t happen and only give it worry or energy when it happens. 2. Reframe the thought: Once you have a negative thought challenge the thought and reframe it into a more positive one. For example, instead of thinking "I can't do this," reframe it to "I am capable, I’m unstoppable, or I will find a way to do this." Or everything goes my way. 3. Embrace the negative thought: if you have a recurring negative thought or past experience plaguing you embrace it. Often When you resist these thoughts or experiences they often persist. However, when you embrace and welcome them in, it disarms their effect on us. For example, welcome it in, say I acknowledge you, have sit, can I offer you a refreshment, etc. stay there while I live in the present and count all that’s good in my life and all blessings. 4. Practice gratitude: Focus on the things you are grateful for in your life. This helps to shift your focus away from negative thoughts and emotions into positive ones. Research shows gratitude practice elevates your feel-good hormones. 5. Surround yourself with positive people, activities, and environments. This will help to reinforce your new positive outlook and mindset. 6.
