Limerick TD's debate the Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy

LS MATS stands for the Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy and it was published this month laying out ambitious plans for the future of the region here in terms of how transport will work. You’ve heard about many of the positives in the plan - the many new train stations for Limerick, the expanded bus service, better pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and a proposed rail link to Shannon Airport but there’s one issue in this plan which is a source of debate, and that is the lack of the Northern Distributor Road. With us this morning we have two government TDs who feel very differently about this - Kieran O'Donnell of Fine Gael and Brian Leddin of the Green Party… Hosted on Acast.
