How to teach behavior skills to your child involves making changes and adjustment to find what works for them. Children aren’t the same. What worked for one child may not work for another. Be flexible and know that you have the ability to change. Working with your ADHD child requires you to make adjustments based on their strengths and weakness. Even with adjustments, you’ll be teaching them the elements of the Teaching-Family Model and that’s how you’ll find success. You are the expert for your child, You know your child the best and have been there for their ups and downs. Because of that, you’ll know how to best approach teaching new behavior skills.
