“It takes a vagina to know a vagina.”Dr. Hedieh Asadi’s words were met with cheers—an instant, collective yes from the room. And that’s exactly the energy behind DeoDoc.Together with Redgert Comms, we hosted a LIVE podcast event with the incredible team behind DeoDoc — a Swedish intimate skincare brand founded by Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Gunvor Ekman-Ordeberg and sisters Dr. Hedieh Asadi and Hasti Asadi. Seeing a major gap in the market, they created the world’s first intimate care brand founded by women doctors 11 years ago — offering safe, science-backed products designed specifically for vulvar care, an area too often neglected, misunderstood, or surrounded by shame. Tired of misinformation and poor-quality products, they set out to change the narrative with medically developed, pH-balanced solutions made for women, by women doctors. They spoke candidly about pH balance, ingredient transparency, and why most intimate products still don’t serve women. They also expose the truths about tampons, including the widespread use of plastic and the lack of ingredient transparency in many major brands. For them, transparency in women’s health isn’t optional, but essential. But this conversation wasn’t just about products—it was about power. About shifting the narrative, replacing shame with science, and giving women the tools they need to take charge of their health. It was education. It was empowerment. Because women deserve better. And it takes one to know one.xx Julie—-Dr. Hedieh Asadi would like to “pass on the goodwill” to Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Gunvor Ekman-OrdebergKeep up with DeoDoc:Instagram: @deodocwellnessWebsite: deodoc.comKeep up with The Female Effect:📸 Instagram: @thefemaleeffect_🚀 TikTok: @thefemaleeffect🌍 Linkedin: @The Female Effect Artwork: Birgit KäsperJingle: Søren Haahr Showroom Studio: Redgert Comms CopenhagenMy name is Julie Lou, and I find it absolutely magical when women support and uplift each other as allies. This is the magic I refer to with the title of my podcast, "The Female Effect."Every other Thursday, I invite a woman into the studio who, in her own way, is making a difference for other women and using her voice and talents to make a positive impact on the world. I hope you feel inspired, because we're rooting for you! With love,Julie Lou Hosted on Acast.
